A PAIR OF SANCAI-GLAZED POTTERY FIGURES OF A BOY AND GIRL ON REINDEER
Each figure depicts a young rider—one boy and one girl—seated atop a dynamically modeled reindeer, both rendered with expressive detail and vibrant sancai glaze. Likely inspired by the Tsaatan or Dukha people, the semi-nomadic reindeer herding communities of northern Mongolia, the figures wear flowing green robes and hold peaches, symbolic of longevity and auspicious fortune.
