Vividly painted in underglaze blue with a qilin amidst foliage or auspicious emblems within a double-line border, the cavetto framed by a trellis diaper band. The base is recessed and unglazed, typical of Zhengtong provincial ware. The vibrant blue shading, iron spots, and kiln grit are hallmarks of the period’s early Ming provincial production.
