Qing Dynasty

Description

H: 17 cm (6.75 in)
D: 6 cm (2.25 in)(base)

Finely potted with a well-proportioned hu-form body surmounted by a waisted neck and flaring rim, flanked by tubular lug handles at the shoulder, the vase is covered overall in a luminous celadon glaze, suffused with a delicate network of crackle throughout the surface. The glaze pools gently within the recesses, accentuating the crisp octagonal contours of the form. The unglazed foot rim reveals the fine buff-colored body beneath.
